Information Gathered About You: When you sign up to receive e-mails, we ask for your name and e-mail address.  When you request speakers, register as a donor, request information about programs, complete a survey or any other function that uses a submit/go button, 232-HELP, Inc. may track information internally, that you provide in our secure database.  This information is used to respond to your request or to analyze and improve website usage. 

Donating Online: When you donate online by credit card, you submit your name, credit card number, and billing information. This information is necessary for credit card verification purposes. This information allows us to process and fulfill your donation, to notify you of your donation status, or to associate your donation with a particular fundraising campaign. If you would like to donate anonymously, please indicate this when completing the donation form. In addition, 232-HELP, Inc. keeps a record of each donor’s giving history. This information is kept on file for IRS purposes and is also used in our development process to analyze overall giving patterns in order to make accurate budget projections. Donor information is maintained in a secured database, and only authorized personnel have access to this information and only for appropriate business purposes.

 232-HELP, Inc. does not sell, trade, rent or share names, addresses, telephone numbers, or e-mail addresses of our donors. 232-HELP, Inc. will use contact information (e-mail, telephone number and address) of donors for these purposes only: 

  • Distribute receipts for donations
  • Thank donors for their donation
  • Inform donors about news, upcoming fundraising events and other activities of 232-HELP, Inc.
  • Internal analysis and record keeping
  • Reporting to relevant U.S. and State agencies (these reports are not for public inspection)
  • Contact donors about changes to this policy 
  • As a rule, 232-HELP, Inc. publicly recognizes a donor by publishing a donor’s name unless the donor explicitly requests to remain anonymous when making a donation by mail or online. 

Your IP Address: An IP address is a number assigned to your computer automatically when you use the internet. 232-HELP, Inc. will use your IP address along with all other users’ IP addresses to track usage patterns and improve our website. At no time is your IP address linked to anything that personally identifies the owner of the IP address. 

What Happens to the Information Gathered: 232-HELP, Inc. tracks generic web user traffic patterns, to improve the effectiveness of our website and online tools. Donor information may be used to associate your donation with a particular fundraising campaign, and/or to thank individual donors for their gift(s).

Resource Database: 232-HELP, Inc. maintains records provided by service agencies in a secure database.  This database of resources provides agency information for visitors seeking information on health and human services and programs.  An agency may be removed from our database on request.  The information in the database is not shared, traded, sold or rented to any third parties without your consent.  232-HELP, Inc.’s database is protected under our DATA PROTECTION POLICY. 

Tracking Information: 232-HELP, Inc. may share macro-level tracking information with third parties for various reasons, among them to attract grant-makers and to enhance the effectiveness of its website. At no time will personally identifiable information that you provide be shared with any of these third parties. 

Data Security Commitment: To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and help ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate and reasonable physical, electronic, and administrative procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. In addition, we use firewalls to help prevent outside parties from accessing our database server through the Internet, and physical access to the database server is restricted to authorized individuals.

Correcting Your Personal Information: If at any time you believe the information collected by 232-HELP, Inc. is incorrect or inappropriate, simply contact our Web Director to have your information changed.
