What We Do

232-HELP/211 receives calls from those most in need: the abused spouse in need of shelter, the mother struggling to provide food for her three children, the elderly who can no longer afford dental care, the individuals and families living on the street searching for shelter, the grandmother wanting to learn to read to her granddaughter, and those seeking a GED and those who need financial management skills in order to build a better life for their family.

232-HELP (337) 232-4357 is not just a phone number: it is a portal, a gateway, a vital community resource, a helping hand and a kind voice.

How 232-HELPs:

  • Provides services to a 10 parish region and almost 800,000 people.

  • Curates a resoure database with 1,500 resources offering services to Acadiana.

  • Advocates for those who cannot advocate for themselves.
